Alberton Cemetery is located on two hectares of land set aside in 1872. It is owned by the City of Gold Coast.
Sites are available for purchase.

A German migrant with the surname of Voigt was buried in 1886.
Earlier burials took place in the cemetery when a group of German migrant families settled in the area.
The cemetery also contains a number of unknown locations of burials. In 2003, a memorial was erected in the cemetery to commemorate names of the unknown burials.
