City of Gold Coast is committed to diverting reusable materials from our landfills. As part of our waste diversion from landfill program, we contract recyclers to recover resaleable goods from our landfills and recycling drop offs.
If you want to find a bargain - and help do your bit for the environment as you shop - these recovered goods are resold at the following locations:
Phone: 07 5522 1955
Hours: Wednesday to Sunday 8am to 4pm, closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and public holidays.
Reedy Creek Recycle Market , at Reedy Creek Waste and Recycling Centre, sells a huge range of quality second hand household items at bargain prices.
The recycle market is operated for the City by the Endeavour Foundation, a registered charity providing employment opportunities for local people with disabilities. Proceeds from shop sales help to fund Endeavour’s work as one of the country’s largest non-government service providers.
Goods for sale include furniture, collectables, books, toys and sporting equipment. Goods sold are salvaged and sorted on site, and carefully prepared for sale. If you have items you no longer have a use for, you can do your bit by donating them in the drop off area, before browsing the shop to find a preloved bargain.
Southport Recycle Market sells items from Molendinar Waste and Recycling Centre.
