Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) updates

Parks remain open with visitors encouraged to take recommended health and social distancing precautions.

Sports fields and parks are open for general use and public outdoor gatherings in line with the Queensland Government Roadmap to Easing Restrictions.

Community sport and recreation clubs can continue activity, as long as they meet the Queensland Government COVID-19 restrictions. This includes the completion of all the requirements documented in any associated Industry COVID Safe Plan before activity begins. Visit Queensland Government – Return to Play for details.

Sports fields in City parks: Many of our parks are used by sporting clubs for training and matches. Information about whether a sports field is open or closed due to inclement weather, routine maintenance or field renovations can be found on our Sports field closures page.

Report a problem

City officers fix footpaths, park benches, toilets and other amenities on a daily basis to ensure our parks and facilities are maintained in great shape. If you see a City asset that needs attending to, please let us know.
