Project information

We are completing stormwater drainage works along Thrower Drive in Currumbin.

The City maintains over 2,500 kilometres of stormwater drainage with an ongoing upgrade and renewal program. As part of this program stormwater infrastructure is being upgraded across the city to help reduce local flooding and increase public safety during flood events.

Construction details

The Thrower Drive stormwater drainage upgrade includes:

  • replacement of ageing stormwater infrastructure
  • taking measures to prevent future blockages
  • improvements to maintenance vehicle access.

We're working to minimise disruptions. However, local residents may experience construction noise, dust and vibrations. To ensure we can complete the works safely, there will be partial road closures during construction. Traffic control officers will be on duty to assist and some traffic delays are expected. Please follow all signage in the area. Thank you for your patience.
