HOTA Project

The outdoor stage at HOTA, Home of the Arts is only the beginning.

The city's 16.9 hectare cultural precinct is within walking distance of Surfers Paradise. Currently under development, it is fast becoming the heartbeat and home of arts and culture on the Gold Coast.

The concept for our new heart for arts and culture was created by ARM Architecture + Topotek1 after winning an international design competition. It is the basis of a cultural destination for residents and visitors which will evolve over the next 10 to 15 years.

The $37.5 million outdoor stage and concert lawn was completed in December 2017. We are now focused on Stage 1B of the cultural precinct.

It is a major City building project.  The Green Bridge to Chevron Island opened in February 2020 and the HOTA Gallery will follow in 2021.

HOTA Gallery

A $60.5 million art gallery will become a cultural beacon and a must-see destination for residents and visitors.

HOTA Green Bridge

A vital connector to Chevron Island and the Surfers Paradise tourist hub and beyond is now open.
