Border Security, Burleigh Heads, 100 employees

Gold Coast based security company, Border Security, analysed its transport needs and made changes to save time and money, while delivering improved customer service. The company has achieved a 20 per cent reduction in fuel and maintenance costs by understanding its travel and implementing measures to make it more efficient.

City of Gold Coast, Bundall offices, 1100 employees

During late 2014 and early 2015, 400 City of Gold Coast employees relocated from Nerang and Varsity Lakes to Bundall, bringing the total number of employees in the Bundall offices to 1100. With limited on-site parking options, the City aimed to increase the number of employees who walked, cycled, carpooled or caught public transport to and from work.

The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) employs 332 staff (as of August 2016) at its Ashmore offices. The workforce will grow to approximately 1500 when the Games begin. Pacific Fair Shopping Centre has recently undergone a $670 million transformation, adding an additional 120 specialty stores and creating the largest retail, lifestyle and dining location in Queensland and one of the largest shopping centres in Australia.

With more than 500 staff based on the Gold Coast, the company identified the opportunity to encourage employees to lead healthier lifestyles while balancing family, work and other responsibilities.
